Table 1: Fees and service standards for obtaining, renewing, replacing or closing a certificate of registry

Register a vessel		Issue the certificate of registry within 30 business days of receiving a complete application.
Re-register a vessel		Issue the certificate of registry within 30 business days of receiving a complete application.
Register a group of vessels or a fleet		Issue the certificate of registry within 30 business days of receiving a complete application.
Re-register a group of vessels or a fleet		Issue the certificate of registry within 30 business days of receiving a complete application.
Renew a certificate of registry for a vessel, a group of vessels, or a fleet		Issue the certificate of registry within 30 business days of receiving a complete application.
Obtain a provisional certificate of registry		Issue the provisional certificate of registry within 2 business days of receiving a complete application.
Replace a certificate of registry		Issue the certificate of registry or provisional certificate of registry within 5 business days of receiving a complete application.
Obtain a deletion certificate		Issue the deletion certificate within 5 business days of receiving a complete application.

All fees may change based on inflation every year on April 1.

Based on Transport Canada’s Policy on remissions, if we miss the service standard some of your fee may be reimbursed.
