Safety alerts and notices for child car seats

To inform parents and caregivers about child car seat and booster seat safety, we publish both safety alerts and notices:

• Child car seat safety alerts tell you if a specific model of car seat or booster seat doesn’t comply with safety standards, or has a safety defect
• Child car seat notices tell you if a model has a problem that isn’t related to safety standards or a safety defect (for example, if it has an incorrect expiry date or problem with its instruction manual)
• General notices provide important safety information related to car seats and booster seats in general.

You can sort the child car seats alerts and notices by manufacturer. Each one specifies:

• the model or models affected
• the issue and the safety risk involved
• what to do to fix the problem
